Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Donations

Art Expression has been designated by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (PA DCED) as an EITC-eligible Educational Improvement Organization. ALL Art Expression programming is eligible for EITC donations!

What does that mean for you? It means that your company can make a charitable contribution to Art Expression and receive a tax credit for 75% of your contribution – or 90% for a two-year contribution.

You can, of course, make an EITC contribution to any eligible organization. So why choose Art Expression? There are several good reasons:

• The inclusive programming offered through Art Expression encourages opportunities for students’ creative expression, enhances the development of social skills, and supports learning in both the natural and physical sciences.
• Art Expression was selected in 2013 by the President’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities as a finalist for the National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award, recognizing the organization as one of the top youth programs in the United States. Art Expression received a Certificate of Excellence from the President’s Committees on the Arts and Humanities and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
• Art Expression makes it easy to donate through the EITC program. Just speak with your accountant or financial officer about making a contribution, then submit your application to the PA DCED (http://dced.pa.gov/programs/educational-improvement-tax-credit-program-eitc/). The site will give you step-by-step instructions for the application process.
